Launching commission findings

Informing new policy on fragile states and technology for development.

Overview

di:ga worked with the Blavatnik School of Government to plan and launch the Pathways for Prosperity Commission in January 2018. We worked alongside the academics, the main funder, two other agencies, and the Commissioners themselves to develop a communications strategy, and then plan and execute the launch in Nairobi, Kenya.

We helped produce key media collateral, including the press release, Q&A, and social media content. We also drafted and placed opinion pieces for two of the co-Chairs: Strive Masiyiwa and Sri Mulyani Indrawati in Business Day and the Jakarta Post, and worked with Mr Masiyiwa's team on a hugely successful Facebook live event. The launch was widely covered by global media, and trended on twitter in Nairobi.

We were also involved in the launch of the final report from the Commission on State Fragility, Growth and Development, co-Chaired by David Cameron and Donald Kaberuka. We worked closely with the secretariat to edit the final version of the report, advised on the final launch release and strategy, and ghost-wrote and placed an op-ed for Dr Kaberuka in Le Monde and the East African.
